D-Cleft is an over-the-counter type of readily available obturator.
This appliance has been specifically designed to be used as feeding bottle attachment for use in babies having cleft lip and palate to seal the cleft area during feeding time which will not only help to avoid nasal regurgitation but also aid in improved suction pressure during suckling action. This device can be employed in infants until they are able to undergo surgical closure of cleft.
